This week Ben went on a ski trip with his school. The entire 3rd grade left Wednesday morning for Davos, Switzerland, where they all stayed in a hotel and skied for 3 days. He just got back tonight (Friday) and he was utterly exhausted. But he had a blast. It was just friends and schoolmates and teachers - and no parents. Evidently trips like these are very common in Switzerland and in Europe. Schools view it as a "independence building" and "team building" exercise for the child. Like I said, Ben had an absolute blast, and he talked our ear off when he got back. What a great experience for him. It's so different than anything he might be doing at his school back in the States. I hope he'll always remember it.
